What to include
- Reporting a wrong reading
- Include roughly when it happened, your approximate location and the strike distance shown. Thunder timing depends on live weather, so the time matters for reproducing it.
- Privacy requests
- This site holds no personal profiles, so there is usually nothing to export or delete. See the privacy policy. Requests are still answered.
- Data and licensing
- Questions about the lightning feed are best directed to Blitzortung.org, who operate the detection network.
Emergencies and severe weather
This is not a warning service and messages are not monitored around the clock. For severe weather information contact your national weather service; in an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
